I like to think that I think logically and don’t jump to conclusions but that’s exactly what Daniel Kahneman, author of Thinking Fast & Slow argues that I do.
Kahneman contends that our thinking is done by two systems: system 1 which is intuitive and fast and system 2 which is slow and logical. Because a lot of our thinking is done by system one of is subject to all kinds of cognitive biases and is, in Kahneman’s words, a machine for jumping to conclusions.
