Personality Type and How it helps you navigate life, relationships and career

One of the most popular personality tests used by more a 2 million people a year is the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI).

There’s an easy way to get free access to the basics.

16Personalities.com has a free test that takes about 20 minutes and then gives you a helpful summary of your type and how it affects your frienships, romantic relationships, career paths and how you behave at work.

If you enjoy this one but want to go a little deeper then the best web source i’ve found is personalityjunkie.com, which has a ridiculous name but the analysis is serious minded and detailed and his personality descriptions are some of the best i’ve read. it will also introduce you to the rather complicated cognitive functions which is probably the next step in going deeper into personality analysis.

If you’d like an overview of personality analysis here’s the incomparable crash course in psychology to give you an 11 minute overview: Crash course have fantastic youtube channels on History, psychology, economics, politics, chemistry and biology, to name a few.

One YouTube channel with great summaries of the types and a very easy introduction to the “function stack” is personalityhacker. Here’s their description of the INFP
